These terms are an agreement between you and Appcorn Technologies, Egypt ("we", "us"), the maker of Takkato. By using the Takkato apps or takkato.app, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use Takkato.
1. Your account
- You must be at least 13 years old to use Takkato.
- You sign in with Google or Apple. Keep that account secure: anything done from your Takkato account is your responsibility.
- One person, one account. Don't impersonate anyone or create accounts to get around a suspension or to vote more than once.
2. Your recipes and content
- You own the recipes, photos, videos and comments you post.
- By posting them, you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, show, adapt (for example resize or translate) and share them in Takkato and in our promotion of Takkato (for example sharing a winning recipe on our social media, with your name). This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies other people have already shared and backups that are being deleted.
- Only post what you have the right to post. Photos and videos must be your own. Don't copy recipes word for word or use images from the internet.
3. Community rules
Takkato is a kitchen for everyone. Don't post or do anything that:
- is hateful, harassing, threatening, sexual or violent, or insults religions, nationalities or groups;
- is spam, advertising, or misleading;
- is dangerous, such as unsafe food handling presented as safe;
- isn't halal: Takkato recipes contain no pork, pork products or alcohol, in the ingredients or the method;
- copies other people's work or breaks the law;
- games the system: fake accounts, buying or swapping likes and votes, or automated activity.
We may review, hide or remove content, and warn, suspend or close accounts that break these rules. Our photo checks may automatically flag content that looks copied. You can report content in the app, and you can contact us if you think we got a decision wrong.
4. Chef levels, badges and leaderboards
Levels, badges and rankings are part of the fun of Takkato. They have no cash value, can't be transferred, and we may adjust them, for example to undo the effect of fake activity.
5. Competitions
Competitions have their own competition rules, plus official rules for each competition shown in the app. You accept those rules when you enter. If they conflict with these terms, the competition rules apply to that competition.
6. Ingredient suggestions and cooking
Recipes are shared by members and aren't checked by us. Ingredient substitution suggestions are generated automatically and may be wrong. Always use your own judgement: check for allergies, cook food thoroughly, and follow food safety guidelines. We're not responsible for the result of any recipe.
7. Ads
Takkato is free and shows ads. See our privacy policy for how ads use data and how to change your choices.
8. Our app
Takkato's name, logo, design and software belong to Appcorn Technologies. Don't copy, reverse-engineer, scrape or overload the service. We may change, pause or stop features at any time.
9. Deleting your account
You can stop using Takkato and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.
10. Disclaimers and liability
Takkato is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we don't guarantee that it will always be available or free of errors, and we're not liable for indirect losses, or for content posted by other members. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be excluded.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. For important changes, we'll tell you in the app before they take effect. If you keep using Takkato after that, you accept the new terms.
12. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the courts of Cairo have jurisdiction, unless the law of your country gives you the right to bring a claim locally.
